60 Minutes Report on Online Poker Cheating Scandal
Tonight CBS News and the Washington Post aired their report on the internet poker scandals.  Steve Kroft did a great job of reporting on the status of the offenders and that both Absolute and Ultimate Bet are still in business.  However, he did not report on what could be done to fix the problem.  He mentioned The Kahnawakee Gaming Commission and their light hand slapping fine they applied after their report was released but again failed to mention that there is a solution to fix the cheating from happening again.  We contacted 60 Minutes months ago to tell them about our service, DealGuardian and how it would have made these scenarios impossible.  Our calls and emails were not returned.  We have also contacted both Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker to offer our services to help protect their players and to help them regain their credibility.  These calls and emails have also gone unanswered.  We are looking to partner with any card room that takes security and fairness of play seriously and will do everything that we can to protect the players and the card rooms from internal fraud.  Check out the article about the 60 minutes show by clicking here.

The Unlawful Internet Gaming Act is real
The law has been in limbo since 2006 so what has changed now? For players, not much. If you use foreign credit cards or use a money transfer system then chances are you will not be affected at all. Basically the only thing they added to the books is that credit card companies must refuse transactions from certain merchant codes and those codes must be expanded upon. They also told the credit card companies to mail out letter to their customers telling them not to use gambling sites with their cards. To add further insult to injury the Democrats have already stated that they will put in a reversal order in early January soon after Obama takes office. Bottom line, keep on playing!  Secure Card Dealer still hold true to our idea of fully legalized poker for our country.  We would like to be at the forefront of this legalization by making every poker room in America use the Dealguardian service for protection from fraud.  Check out our service today!

Read the Official DealGuardian™ Press Release
Secure Card Dealer, LLC is based in Charlotte, NC, USA. The company has created the patent pending solution, DealGuardian, to help protect players and to help Poker Rooms with the basic problem of player trust. Poker Rooms can use our service to ensure that cards are shuffled and dealt by a third party entity that has absolutely NO stake in the rake of the game. We do this without causing any delay in the processing of the game and give the players a place to verify those questionable hands that come up every now and again. Those hands where the player may think that the hands are being juiced to increase the house rake. We built our service to use industry standard encryption and every aspect of our service is aligned to protect both players and card rooms from potential fraud. Card rooms that display the "Protected by DealGuardian" logo on their tables will have a distinct advantage over rooms that do not use the service. Players will search out the rooms that are using the service. For more information call toll-free at 1-877-482-3676 or visit our web site at www.securecarddealer.com.

MSNBC Reports on More Fallout from Absolute Poker Scandal
MSNBC Has reported on a lawsuit being filed against the company who owns Absolute Poker. In the article, Found Here they point out that the poker world is still widely unregulated and the players are nervous that their money will never be returned. One player said he tried to get his hand history but was unsuccessful. With DealGuardian, a 3rd party would have that hand history. Remember the fraud was based on an internal hole in the Poker Software. Once again, DealGuardian would have provided the protection needed to squash the scammers. Contact your poker room's support system today and ask them to get Protected by DealGuardian!

California Continues Drive for State Sponsored Online Poker
California is the first state to begin a feasibility study for state run poker. The bill, AB2026, sponsored and written by Lloyd Levine, looks to explain how the state of California could run poker rooms for their residents. The study will be wrapped up in 2009 but so far has been met with great interest and intrigue. DealGuardian would be a great fit for this as we would host our servers in the state of California and serve each of these poker rooms. DealGuardian would give both the state government and the players peace of mind that they are getting a fair game of cards.

Ultimate Bet Poker Issues Statement Regarding Unfair Play
The investigation has concluded that certain player accounts did in fact have an unfair advantage, and that these accounts targeted the highest limit games on the site. The individuals responsible were found to have worked for the previous ownership of UltimateBet prior to the sale of the business to Tokwiro in October 2006. Tokwiro is taking full responsibility for this situation and will immediately begin refunding UltimateBet customers for any losses that were incurred as a result of unfair play.
The fraudulent activity was enabled by unauthorized software code that allowed the perpetrators to obtain hole card information during live play. The existence of this vulnerability was unknown to Tokwiro until February 2008 and existed prior to UltimateBet's acquisition by Tokwiro in October 2006. Our investigation has confirmed that the code was part of a legacy auditing system that was manipulated by the perpetrators. Gaming Associates, independent auditors hired by the KGC, have confirmed that the software code that provided the unfair advantage has been permanently removed.
